Yes, you need to create an account to access, purchase, and download content. Creating an account also allows you to manage subscriptions, track your credits, and use additional features as they become available.
ScansMatter operates on a flexible credit system. You can subscribe for monthly credits, purchase credit packs, or buy individual assets. Credits give you the freedom to download any content from our library based on your project needs. Larger content uses traditional purchases.
Yes, you can cancel your monthly subscription anytime. Your subscription will continue until the end of the current billing cycle, after which no further payments will be taken. For yearly subscriptions they will end 12 months after you activated your subscription.
New content is added regularly. Our internal & external teams works continuously to expand the library with new 3D assets, materials, and reference kits, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality resources. Next to this we also work with external partners to bring you even more premium content.
Yes! ScansMatter offers both non-commercial and commercial licenses. Credits can be used to purchase either type of license, and all assets bought through traditional purchases come with a commercial license by default. We highly recommend reading our Legal page for more information on our licenses.
Absolutely. You are free to modify the content for your project needs. However, you cannot resell the content, even in modified form, or redistribute it directly. (Read our Legal page for more info)
While you can use assets in your projects and display them publicly, direct sharing or redistribution of ScansMatter files is prohibited. You cannot sell or share project files that provide others with direct access to ScansMatter’s original content. Commercial licenses do allow you to share files within your company/team.
Our reference kits are curated with artists in mind, providing high-resolution images from multiple angles and close-ups of critical details. This allows for more accurate and detailed modeling without the need to source low-quality images from the internet.
Non-commercial licenses are intended for personal or non-profit projects, whereas commercial licenses allow you to use assets in projects that generate revenue. All traditional purchases and credit top-ups qualify for commercial use.
No, once you download an asset, the license is perpetual. However, ScansMatter reserves the right to revoke licenses in cases of misuse or violation of terms.
Licenses are generally non-transferable. However, if you need to transfer a license, please contact us to discuss potential arrangements.
The Asset Exchange Program allows you to contribute your own models or materials to ScansMatter in exchange for credits. This mutually beneficial program lets you expand our library while gaining additional resources for your projects. Please contact us for more information as this is a new policy.
If you encounter any issues, please use our “Report a Problem” feature. We will do our best to resolve any quality or compatibility concerns, though we cannot guarantee complete resolution.
Once content is downloaded, it is non-refundable. However, we encourage you to reach out to us with any issues so we can assist you with troubleshooting or finding a suitable alternative.
